Integrate 2019 Day 2 Blog

After the first day of Integrate closed to the public last night, our exhibitors and partners made time to recognise outstanding achievements and took a breather before a big day two of the show, which was all about the girls...tech girls.

AVIXA once again recognised outstanding achievements of AV professionals for their contributions to local industry via the Oceania Awards 2019. Recipients were Boey Song, John Thampi, Tyler Wood, Ryan Gomes, Michael Rutledge, Paul Dabrowski, Peter Swanson and Garth Cahill.

Our region’s premier commercial audio-visual awards program, the AVIAs, were also presented last night with the Exceptional Innovation in AV Award going to Novatech Creative Event Technology for their PA system on the Dantos Tour Down Under.

The second day of Integrate began this morning with the AVIXA Women’s Council Breakfast attracting a record number of guests. An inspiring presentation was made by Dr Jenine Beekhuyzen, Founder of the Tech Girl Movement, who introduced the audience to the three winning teams who just returned from their tour of Silicon Valley.

Two industry round tables were held on the topics of Education and Retail/Hospitality. These open discussions about trends, innovations and challenges, were moderated by Paul Skelton, Editor of Connected Magazine and Chris Holder Editor of AV magazine.

The Integrate speaker program started the day with a focus on workplace trends and working in teams. Marie-Claire Ross, CEO of Trustologie, showed us how to make projects more profitable and less stressful by leading with trust. This was followed by a panel discussion about digital transformation and the workplace trends that are going to have the most impact on enterprises.
