With over 40 years of professional experience, Vlado Damjanovski is one of the world’s foremost expert and authority on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).
He is an author, inventor, lecturer, App designer and imaging specialist based in Adelaide, South Australia.

He currently works for Optic Security Group as a Product Innovation Manager.

Vlado has an honours degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of “Кирил и Методиј” in Skopje (Republic of Macedonia), specializing in Broadcast TV and CCTV. His 1982 thesis on the subject of ChargeCoupledDevices (CCD) preempted their wide commercial use by ten years.

In 1995 Vlado published his first technical reference book - simply called 'CCTV'.
This was one of the first and complete reference manuals on the subject of CCTV.
Another four editions followed, each one adding new technologies and concepts. The last edition ‘From light to intelligent pixels” was published by ASIAL in 2022.
Covering all that a CCTV expert, installer and consultant should require, these books are accepted and approved by the global industry as reference manuals and are translated into multiple languages, including German, Russian, Korean and Farsi.
In his capacity as consultant, Vlado has designed and commissioned a number of CCTV systems around Australia and overseas.

Vlado was the main contributor to the development of the AS4806 analogue CCTV Standards and was an active member of the IEC TC79 WG12 group contributing towards the international standards development of 62676 standards for the IP CCTV and VSS.

Vlado has developed special tools for CCTV, including test charts and ViDiLabs iOS and Android calculator application.

In 2023 ASIAL awarded him the highest recognition for his lifelong Individual Achievement in Technical Security.
