Zoom Rooms making meetings easier

Jul 18, 2018

Meetings can be the bane of the modern workplace. And now with an increasing need for video and webinar integration, it’s important that users have access to solutions that are easy use, buy and scale and there’s one product that has created enthusiastic advocates across the world – Zoom.

A big part of Zoom’s success has been “Zoom Rooms” which are software-based meeting rooms that enable flawless video, integrated audio, wireless content sharing & digital signage. In fact, Zoom Video Communications was named a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Meeting Solutions, providing one consistent enterprise experience including Video Meetings and Webinars. Zoom is easy to use, buy and scale and customers are enthusiastic advocates of the product.

International customers for Zoom Rooms include Uber, HP, Logitech, Tesla, Zendesk, Slack, Box and Sonos, and Australian customers include REA Group, University of Western Sydney, Seek.com.au, Culture Kings, IOOF, AfterPay and many more.

An advantage of Zoom Rooms is that you can use off the shelf hardware for the cameras, speakerphones and controllers, although Zoom do recommend certain hardware that has been tested to work well with the software. However, integrators can find it very time consuming, and sometimes challenging, to procure all of the components required to make up these room kits from multiple vendors and distributors, and they’re not always familiar with the hardware that works best.

To simplify procurement, and make the installation experience as smooth as possible, BTC Wholesale (Integrate Stand F12) have streamlined the entire process by packaging everything together into a bundle. The hardware ships pre-configured, includes all the necessary cabling for a typical install, design and documentation and even user guides. All the installer has to do is follow the instructions and then sign into Zoom

“Ultimately we wanted to create the path of least resistance for Integrators to purchase Zoom Rooms hardware. Our packages make it effortless, and our partners can stand behind the bundles knowing they are tried and tested locally with great success.” said Brian Murray, General Manager Various packages are available to cover a number of meeting room sizes, and custom-made packages are available for those wanting a more integrated solution.

One example of a bundle aimed at Huddle Rooms includes:

  • A custom built i7 NUC PC
  • The all new, all-in-one AVer VB342 video sound bar
  • Apple iPad 6th Gen
  • Heckler iPad Stand
  • All interconnect cables & mounting brackets
  • User Guides
  •  Design & Documentation (Schematics, Pictorials and Architectural Diagram)
  • Zoom Software Configuration

BTC Wholesale are the distributors for Aver & Heckler Design, and have partnered up with the other Zoom Technology Partners such as Polycom to ensure the Integrators & Resellers are getting a competitive price on the bundles and a single point of contact for support.

BTC Wholesale will be showcasing the range of AVer Conference cameras, along with the new range of Heckler Pro AV mounts & stands on stand F12 at Integrate this 22-24 August, ICC Sydney. Register online for free exhibition entry here.
