Based in Canberra, Australia, Troy Heland leads the network operations team at Verizon’s Asia-Pacific Security Operations Center. Troy has responsibility for managing a team of network engineers who are responsible for managing security analytics, operations, architecture and threat intelligence for Verizon’s Federal Government customers. An accomplished security executive, Troy started his career in IT Support at the University of Ballarat (Now Federation University) before working with the Institution of Engineers Australia where he took on responsibility for Systems Engineering. In 2012, Troy joined Verizon’s Global Managed Security Services team as a Linux Engineer before assuming his current role in 2019.
