Senator Stephen Loosely AM

(Senator) Stephen Loosley served in Parliament during the Hawke and Keating Governments (1990-95). He also served a term as ALP National President (1991–92). Stephen is now the Deputy Chair of Thales (Australia).
He was Chair of the Woomera Prohibited Area Advisory Board and is a Director of O’Connell Street Associates. Stephen chaired the Australian Strategic Policy Institute and is a current Senior Fellow. Stephen is also a Senior Visiting Fellow at The United States Studies Centre.
In addition, Stephen serves as a Corporate Councillor of the Asia Society and is on the Board of the European Australian Business Council and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Royal Society of NSW. Stephen has a BA (Honours Class 1) and Law (Honours Class 1). He writes for The Australian and The Spectator (Australia) and is the Book and Film Editor for The Strategist, Canberra. On Australia Day 2015, Stephen was awarded an AM for Parliamentary and policy services.
