Vin Bruno Steps Down as CEO of CEDIA

May 22, 2017

In a major development out of the custom installation industry, CEDIA announced on Monday afternoon that it has accepted the resignation of President and CEO Vin Bruno, effective immediately.

In a statement emailed to Technology Integrator, CEDIA said that Bruno opted to resign from his post atop the association in order to “focus on new opportunities in the residential and commercial technology industries.”

“On behalf of the Board, the CEDIA team and the global CEDIA community, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Vin for his service and guidance during his tenure as CEO,” Dennis Erskine, CEDIA Chairman, said in the statement. “Under Vin’s leadership, we have completed the goal of global alignment for the organization and sold ownership of the CEDIA show to focus on the most important needs of our members.”

As CEDIA begins the search process for a replacement President and CEO, Tabatha O’Connor, CEDIA’s current COO, will serve as Acting President/CEO. O’Connor has served as COO since 2015 and has worked with CEDIA for 15 years, serving in various roles including Senior Director of Human Resources and Finance.
