Integrate 2014 Opens with International Keynotes, 134 New Products and the Power of Convergence
Day one of Integrate 2014, the leading AV and integrated systems tradeshow, kicked off today with world-renowned keynote speakers, quality education programs and over 125 exhibitors launching over 130 new products at the three-day show at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
Integrate 2014, in association with Infocomm International and CEDIA, provides delegates the opportunity to meet and network with the industry’s finest companies, leaders and thinkers.
At the Future Trend Talks hosted by IMCCA, Integrate 2014’s inaugural seminar series, esteemed representatives from AVAYA, Pexip, Acano, Creston and Dimension Data debated the power of the convergence between Unified Communication (UC) and AV technology, and the new opportunities it creates for learning, doing business, health services and corporate management.
Coming together for a panel discussion, Jeremy Horey and Graeme Craft, Dimension Data; Michael Chetner, Acano; Steve Neville, Pexip; Robert Dolphin, AVAYA and Bignesh Dayal, Crestron debated the latest thinking in UC.
They all agreed that organisations could no longer consider video, telephony, IM or collaboration products in silos; with success defined as achieving the right blend of technologies and features for the job at hand.
Graeme Craft, Dimension Data said UC also needs to have a strong focus on the quality of the content it is managing.
“Fundamentally, UC is all about the delivery of content; people will adapt to new technologies if they are given the choice and it delivers their content well,” said Mr Craft.
In the Future Trend Talk titled, Smarter Working – Changing the Face of Collaboration Tools and Office Designs, Gordon Anderson, Crestron; Brian Walshe Dimension Data and Robert Dolphin AVAYA centered their discussions on how smarter working is reshaping the way work is being done, and how corporations are reaping the rewards of remote workers.

Lauren Ebbeck, Group Exhibition Director, Diversified Communications Australia said the quality of the education streams, where the world’s best in their field have been brought together, and the breadth of exhibitors has been a major draw card.
“Integrate 2014 has provided the platform for traditionally different sectors to come together to collaborate, learn and develop convergence technology solutions of the future. We are very happy with day one and look forward to welcoming our visitors and delegates for day two and three,” said Ms Ebbeck.
