AVIXA Programme gains higher level of international recognition

Dec 4, 2018

The Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) programme, administered by AVIXA and accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has extended its global reach with the acceptance of the certification by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).

ANSI was accepted as a signatory of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA). In practice, this means that all CTS holders have an internationally recognised professional credential that allows them to prove their value, advance their careers and set themselves apart from the competition, no matter where they are in the world.

Being admitted to the IAF MLA has further demonstrated that ANSI accreditation follows global requirements for accreditation bodies (ISO/IEC/I7011). AVIXA’s certifications are now equivalent to those accredited by local accreditation bodies in over 34 countries, including Australia and New Zealand.

The CTS programme has been administered for more than 30 years by AVIXA. It is recognised as the leading AV professional certification. There are three CTS credentials: CTS-General (CTS), CTS-Design (CTS-D) and CTS-Installation (CTS-I). Worldwide, there are currently over 12,000 CTS holders and more than 2,000 of them are also CTS-D or CTS-I holders.
