Aug 12, 2014

This year there are 134 products being launched on the show floor.

The best way to find out more about these amazing products is to register today for free entry. In the meantime, here’s a little sneak peak to wet your appetite.

What’s hot in home automation?

Zennio Australia is launching its Touch-MyDesign KNX Capacitive Touch Switch on stand C86.

This fully customisable touch screen control system can be programmed to manage, either individually or as part of a group, scene, lighting systems, audio-visual systems, room temperature, and shutters and blinds. The smart technology control can sense when a room is empty, or when windows or doors are not closed properly and make adjustments to improve energy efficiency. It also has complete data saving in case of power failure.

What’s hot in video projection?

Digital Projection has released the world first 12,000 lumen solid-state laser projector – the HIGHLite Laser 12K. Available at Amber Technology’s stand E6, this new three chip projector delivers a stunning 12,000 lumen output and boasts 20,000 hours of stable solid-state illumination with a WUXGA resolution.

Developed for ‘fit and forget’ installations, lamp changes and expensive maintenance cycles are significantly reduced. Edge Blend is included as standard along with Geometric Correction for a seamless viewing experience. HIGHLite Laser 12k delivers fully active 3D with up to 144 Hz refresh rate for the smoothest possible, flicker-free picture quality.

Dual HDMI 1.4, DVI and 3G-SDI inputs provide the latest high speed video delivery. To complement this, HDBaseT connectivity allows the transmission of uncompressed High Definition Video over a CAT5e/6 LAN cable. The lenses also range from 0.77:1 to 6.76:1, making this versatile projector ideal for event and staging applications within elite home cinemas, houses of worship, command and control centres, and digital entertainment and virtual reality venues.

What’s hot in system integration?

Axis Audio Visual, distributor of advanced audio visual products, is launching SVSI’s N-Touch Wall Controllers on stand F84.

SVSi’s N-Touch Wall Controllers are stand-alone, dual-gang IP controllers that send commands to multiple IP clients with the push of a button. When used with SVSI encoders and decoders, a complete video delivery system with control is achieved, at a fraction of the regular cost.

What’s hot in audio systems?

Courtesy of Production Audio Video Technology, delegates will get to see EAW’s Anya on stand B6 at this year’s exhibition.

Anya is a complete high powered sound reinforcement system. The powerful, and scalable, speakers hang straight with no vertical splay making them adaptable for all performance types and venue sizes. The system has on board diagnostics that monitor and manage a full frequency range across a user defined coverage area.

What’s hot in unified communications?

CHRISTIE is launching its Christie Brio Solutions on stand F66. Christie Brio Solutions offer unified communication and collaboration presentation systems that remove technology barriers, enabling those using it to focus on achieving results. The system allows users to clearly and confidently share and interact in real time. With BYO device capability, remote whiteboard sharing, and direct audio plugin, energy is spent on content and decision making and not on technology.

What’s hot in digital signage?

Check out stand C2 to see LG’s 98-inch 98LS95A edge-lit LED Widescreen Ultra HD display.

LG has expanded its large-screen commercial-grade monitor portfolio, which now includes its 98-inch 98LS95A edge-lit LED Widescreen Ultra HD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 3840 x 2160 resolution, displaying images with superior brightness and detail. Boasting an image with 8 million pixels and enhanced by LG’s renowned IPS panel technology, the Ultra HD display provides the sharpest picture available on a large-screen display and the most immersive viewing experience the industry has seen to date.

LG’s IPS (In Plane Switching) panel technology ensures colour saturation and contrast for off-angle viewing (both horizontal and vertical). IPS technology also provides a temperature tolerance of up to 110° Celsius, which helps alleviate a common problem; of screens overheating and, as a result, suffering from permanent picture quality damage.

The 98-inch Ultra HD display is equipped with a chip that enhances the Ultra HD resolution and optimises overall image quality. This sophisticated upscaling function takes SD, HD or Full HD content and renders it in sharp, near-Ultra HD quality. The display can also decode H.264 and HEVC H.265 signage at 30p or 60p, allowing the customer to present content of the highest visual quality to their audience.
