IOT and the Integration Opportunity

Mitchell Klein is the Executive Director of the Z-Wave Alliance (, joining with over 30 years of experience as a results-driven leader in the CE and smart home industries. Mitchell is a sought-after speaker, panelist, and spokesperson at Smart Home and IoT events and conferences world-wide. As the director of business development for Universal Remote Control for eight years, Klein was a key member of the senior team that grew URC from a remote control company to a smart home integration system supplier to the CEDIA channel. He transformed the company into a dealer-focused system supplier by developing multi-level strategies for new products and dealer training. The CEO at the award-winning integration firm Media Systems for 14 years, Mitchell also co-founded industry consulting firm StayTuned LLC and launched CEDIA’s certification program, it’s first regional events and media tours as its two-term president.

CEDIA Australia - The Plan

Vin Bruno joined CEDIA ( as CEO in the fall of 2015. Vin’s entire career has been spent in the technology industry. In his role as CEO, Vin is responsible for strategic planning and governance, forging of partnerships, membership development, communications and advocacy, as well as staff leadership. Vin’s exposure to the tech industry began with a position as a product engineering manager with a manufacturer and distributor of professional video products. This start lead him to become a Board Director and Vice President for Tower products where he pioneered concepts and launched award-winning digital video technology for the broadcast, media and entertainment industries. After spending 11 years with Tower Products, Vin moved on to become Vice President for VCOM International Multimedia Corporation, a distributor of professional AV and digital equipment. During his five years at VCOM, he drove double digit sales growth each year. Most recently Vin was the Director of Marketing for Crestron Electronics where he guided the company’s global marketing strategy, oversaw the construction of the company’s experience centers and design showrooms, and led team of 58 marketing professionals worldwide. Vin also serves on the Advisory Council for the Harvard Business Review and authored a chapter titled “Achieving Success Globally” in the 2010 book: Inside the Minds™ Improving Market Performance. He has a BS in Business Administration from Montclair State University and a Masters in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. In his spare time Vin enjoys golf, tennis, and hiking with his friends and family.

Future Trends - The Technology Landscape of Tomorrow

Rich Green has been an active professional in the audio/video industry since 1978. His technology-integration company, Rich Green Design, serves ambitious homeowners and businesses of Silicon Valley. Rich is recognized as one of the foremost A/V system designers, having worked with many prominent clients including Luciano Pavarotti, Sir George Solti, Larry Ellison, Tony Fadell, Gordon P. Getty and Steve Jobs. Rich sits on the CEDIA Advisory Board and was a three-term board member. He founded and remains an active member of the CEDIA Technology Council. Rich also serves as a subject matter expert and instructor for CEDIA’s certification programs and for CEDIA Learning. In 2011 Rich was inducted as a CEDIA Fellow. In addition to his integration work, Rich is President of the Palo Alto History Museum and an adjunct faculty member at Moraine Park Technical College where he teaches Emerging Innovations in Technology.
