Integrate 2015 Wrap

Sep 14, 2015

This year’s Integrate cemented the event as the premier AV technology show in the country. And with over 5300 attendees coming to Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition Centre to see the latest in ultra high definition screens, holographic displays, latest in unified communications, control systems and advanced building automation, Pro AV, Audio and lighting – Integrate 2015 is on the global stage.

The event was so successful Diversified Communications has announced that the existing partnership between Australia’s largest AV and systems integration event, Integrate, and Infocomm International will continue for another five years.

Infocomm International Senior Director Asia Pacific Jonathan Seller says “This partnership with Integrate means Infocomm’s Australian members have one annual event that provides them with the opportunity to see the latest AV and systems integration products and also maintain and enhance their skills through Infocomm’s education programs”.

As well as showing the market what was already available, over 100 new products and services were launched during Integrate 2015. These included holographic displays, compressed signal distribution, touch screen interactive solutions and digital content creation.

Event manager Soren Norgaard, says “Integrate 2015 attracted a high calibre of brands that used this event as an opportunity to launch new products and network, in addition to lead generation”.

Reamoc 3D and 4D holographic displays by Real Vision Imports, which enables businesses to combine a physical product with 3D real-time generated holographic content that can be operated from a smart phone.

KNX National Group of Australia showed off the new Hager TS Wall Controller that was part of a dedicated smart building technology exhibit called KNX City. The Hager TS Wall Controller is an elegant black panel that sits flush with the wall that can be used to control up to eight functions including lights, heating or blinds with a single touch.

Collaboration and learning spaces will benefit from Circle Box AXIS Audio Visual technology. This is a wireless presentation system that makes it easy to wirelessly transmit content from computers to tablets to make it easier for teachers to work with students and teams to work together.

Terry Coe, the manager of Teaching Infrastructure Services in the Business Information and Technology Services department at The University of Western Australia brought a contingent of his colleagues from the AETM (Association for Audiovisual & Education Technology Management) to Integrate 2015.

“The Integrate Expo is extremely worthwhile for our members to attend and all have expressed their appreciation for the opportunity it offers over the three days of the show. The highlight of the Expo for me was the SiliconCore Technology 4K Video Wall with illuminated bezel. There were a number of other vendors with 4K products and this give our members good direction for the future,” says Coe.

With the increased need to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings and save on power costs, the HUB Dimmer by Jand enables businesses to maximise the benefits of improvements in lighting technology while adapting to new “green” requirements. The system allows venues to easily integrate the control of the stage power with a mixed inventory of LED and traditional lighting in to the building management infrastructure.

One of the highlights of the show was Origin Acoustics. They offer more than 100 audiophile grade, high-performance in-wall and in-ceiling architectural loudspeaker products.

Philip Sawyer, Managing Director of Synergy Audio, Origin Acoustics’ exclusive Australian distributor, says the products offer the most advanced speaker technology and new mounting systems.

“Patent-approved technology gives the speakers a significant performance edge while zip-lock finger mount systems make the installation of the in-ceiling quick and easy with a seamless aesthetic result. The new mounting system also allows for the use of much broader bass drivers in a smaller cut-out and a dual suspension system has increased dispersion by 15 per cent, both of which lead to a tremendous improvement in performance and fidelity.”

As well as myriad new products and services, Coe tells us one of the great benefits of Integrate 2015 was the opportunity for professional development.

“The Integrate Expo offers a great opportunity for AETM members to see the latest AV technologies and to also allow members to network with suppliers and vendors. Infocomm also offers training at Integrate and this adds further value to our members attending such a great expo”.

With such a strong show this year and great support from exhibitors, sponsors and attendees, Integrate 2016 promises to be an even bigger event.

“The calibre and steady flow of industry attendees through the door is testament to the fact that Integrate is a key annual event and we are certain it will be an even stronger event in 2016 and beyond,” says Noorgard.

Integrate 2016 will be held at the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park from 23 to 25 August 2016.
